Family Tree (Sneak Peek)

I am always amazed at how big a family can grow from love. I had the pleasure of documenting three generations… beautiful inside and out. During breaks, we had pretty intense conversations about our childhoods, raising our kids, education, etc. Being around three brothers made me miss my own two.

Thank you for your patience, F family. Your photos will be on their way this week. For now, enjoy your sneak peek.

I love gorgeous mother - daughter moments….

…and the apples didn’t fall far from the tree.

I Heart Me

This week’s theme for I Heart Faces is self-portrait.  I took this one years ago for a photography class in college.  And by years ago, this means it was on film (I lost the negatives already) and I actually processed and printed it. I love how kind of blurry it is because I thought that’s how it would look like if someone had walked in and taken a pic.  :0)

By years ago, I also mean I was much younger and less wiser.  I have since gotten married, switched careers and had two kids.  I am now pretty sure that I am not Superwoman because if I was, my house would be much neater, I can cook and be not tired.  Nice to look back, though, to a time I thought I was!

Head on over to I Heart Faces for more self-portraits:

I Heart Pink

Breast cancer has claimed too many lives that were intertwined with ours.  I lost two aunts to cancer and one more is currently battling the disease.  We support the Revlon Run/Walk for Women every May and pray every day that our daughters will grow up in a world where cancer has been eradicated.

Here is my youngest, so pretty in pink:

Future Pilots

Toddlers 1 and 2 had a great time at the Wings, Wheels and Rotor Expo today.  So did Mommy and Daddy!

Toddler #1 enjoyed the LAPD chopper.  See that smile?  She never smiles for me like that on camera anymore!

Tributes to my hometown:

Can’t wait for next year!!!

Gorgeous! D Family Sneak Peek

I sent up some serious prayers before yesterday’s shoot.  NO RAIN PLEASE, until after we get some great pics.  Here’s to answered prayers!

Here are the three gorgeous kids who were so polite and camera-ready:

  • Little R in all his coolness and cuteness

  • Little sis A is so lovely and has such beautiful eyes

  • Big sis A is so charming.  Check out her exquisite smile.

Together…

The apples did not fall far from the proverbial tree! (Drumroll, please…)  The gorgeous parents:

Thank you for a great start to my Sunday morning, D family!  The camera adores y’all!  :0)

Confessions from a Pumpkin Patch

In my thirty-six years of existence, I have never been to a pumpkin patch until today.  There I said it.  How so, you ask?   Well, I was born and raised in a country where there are only two seasons:  rainy and dry.  No such thing as Autumn or Fall.  Pumpkin patches most likely existed but they were for sustenance, not fun.

How did I avoid them having been a Mom for two prior years already?  I’m chalking it up to being so busy from having a new baby.  This Fall, I have no excuse.  My babies are no longer babies.  They are big girls.  And, they had so much fun here that we cannot wait for next year!

Pumpkins galore!  Their smiles are so0o worth the 25-mile drive.  Lovely blue sky, too!

The walk around the patch was my exercise for the week!  The girls were exhausted, too.  Here’s Toddler #2 three minutes into the drive home with her pumpkin-to-go.

Smirk – I Heart Faces Photo Challenge

When I saw this week’s theme at I Heart Faces, I knew exactly which photo I was going to enter.  I took this of my firstborn when she was only 8 weeks young.  Yup, 8 weeks!  She was full of personality from day one and this pic is certainly proof!

Doesn’t she look like the cat that swallowed the proverbial canary?

Click the button below to head on over to I Heart Faces for “smirks” galore!

Ah, To Be Two Again!

I just love the look of wonder in my firstborn’s eyes.  She’s my “big girl” (don’t anyone dare call her a “baby” because she will definitely protest).

Today, I was switching out carseats (she’s outgrown her second, already!) and was having trouble taking the old one down.

D:  What’s wrong, Mom?

Me:  I can’t take the belt out so we can get the carseat down.

D:  Maybe it’s the batteries.

I love her so.

One More!

I was editing tonight and this little gem brought a smile to my face.

Happy almost-weekend!

Time Flies (B Family Sneak Peek)

“Time flies when you’re having fun.”

It sure did today!  4-year old A and her 6-month young little brother DJ were so much fun to photograph.

A has sooooo many faces (smiley face, sad face, surprised face…..) and cracked me up with each one of them!

DJ is such a master at chillaxin’ — I wish my girls were like him when they were that age!   He’s happy on the swing, in momma’s arms, on the grasss….he’s happy pretty much everywhere!

Ooooh, I love this action shot!  Orange is my favorite color and A’s dress mixed with the jungle gym was just serendipitous!

Here’s your sneak peek, B Family!  Hope you had a great rest of the day at the park!
